Hi! Hemant
Unfortunately current Indian Regulation does not allow virtual Numbers or Dids. Only option to achieve this is to get a Ata like Linksys spa3102 installed at the Indian premises .... that too strictly for personal use.

Hi there VoipBuddy,

Thanks for this blog. I came across it through a google search. I visited worldphone site, but I am still confused about their offering.

My requirement is very simple. I want to get an Indian phone number and route all calls to that number to my number in another country. That way, all my friends & relatives could call that number without worrying about ISD costs. I don't want to have any infrastructure in India to achieve this. A SkypeIn number in India would have achieved this painlessly. However, given that's not an option currently, I am looking for the best alternative. I didn't quite understand how worldphone works. There is hardly any detail on their website that could indicate they meet my requirement as above. Are you able to shed some light on this?

Thanks in advance,
Hemant Jagtap
